CAE Advantage (AUDIO ONLY)

"CAE Advantage" is a complete course for students preparing for Certificate in Advanced English. It allows them to expand and consolidate their overall competence in English, while developing the specific skills required for the CAE Examination. Its content makes it equally suitable for non-examination students at advanced level. The course book contains 20 units in full colour covering a variety of topics with international appeal. It provides integrated practice in reading, writing, listening and speaking, helping advanced students to gain confidence in these vital skills. It also makes use of authentic reading and listening texts (some featuring famous personalities), providing the right level of challenge in these areas. Regular Language Focus and Vocabulary sections throughout the course book encourage active study of grammar and lexis and a unit-by-unit Grammar Commentary at the end of the book gives students essential information on the language areas under study. Each unit has a bias towards one of the five CAE Papers, ending with an Exam Practice section to prepare students for the kinds of tasks they will meet in the Examination itself. Also, each of the last five units contains a "Tip Strip" which gives students clear advice on how to approach each Paper. "CAE Advantage" course book is accompanied by a teacher's guide and a set of two cassettes. The teacher's guide gives full support to the teacher, including an overview of the CAE Examination, description of the course syllabus, eomprehensive unit-by-unit teaching notes, essential topic background information and helpful vocabulary explanations. The cassettes contain recordings of all the listening material for the course.
