I’m proud to say we’ve well and truly lived up to our mantra of covering
the places the other magazines overlook. We’ve brought you stories from
south-west Tasmania to WA’s Coral Coast, from Lord Howe Island to SA’s
Fleurieu Peninsula. We’ve ticked of bucket-list experiences in the snow in
Victoria’s High Country, Queensland’s Arcadia Valley and the Vision Splendid
Film Festival in Winton. We’ve celebrated the little towns that could, small
communities of highly motivated individuals who go the extra mile to
fundraise or organise extraordinary events with few resources. As always,
if you have a story to suggest, please send me a mail.
Here at AC HQ we’ve kicked a few goals, as our social media guru Keiran
Mackin has worked her magic to achieve 10,000-plus Instagram followers, and
our Facebook page now reaches 24,000 friends. Our circulation department
has had great results targeting the regions we’ve covered to make our brand
better known. Our marketing maven Chelsea Peters is constantly finding
great partnerships and causes for us to promote and support. In her “spare”
time, Chels is the oice events manager extraordinaire, organising drinks
and fundraisers that keep everyone happy and motivated.
Out on the road, we made lots of new friends and caught up with some old
ones. After all, it’s the people who so graciously share their stories who are
the lifeblood of the magazine and I would like to ofer my heartfelt thanks
for their generosity and hospitality.
I’d like to wish you and your families a happy and safe festive season and all
the best for 2019. We can’t do it without your support and thank you for your
feedback and story suggestions. We’re looking forward to visiting lots of new
places next year, starting with the next issue, which
goes on sale January 3.
